Growing Dome 3

The home stretch as the crew gets ready to hit the road.  Final test of fans working, poured cement for the doorway, planting beds finished (the outer row), Tom fills in the outer blue board outside  trim with rock for insulation, Todd bolts down the foundation, and everything looks great.  The water tank is filling with 3,000 gallons of water, and away they go into the sunset.  Its so  quiet inside the dome, and sound reflects everywhere.  On night one, I measured the temperature inside the water tank, inside the dome, and outside in the fresh air using a Oregon Scientific Weather  station.  Outside, 32 -- Water temp, 64 -- Dome temp, 52

Here are the beds I made after the crew left.  Screws, rebar, simson holding brackets... this thing is built to hold back the weight of the dirt.  Then the plastic waterproof material along with  a coat of Linseed Oil to protect the wood, and we're ready for dirt.

Next time, the dirt and some plants as things keep growing.   Thanks to   Nick, Tom and Todd for all of their hard work.  They attacked this thing.
