The Drive in in mid October.  Crisp clean air and the trees are turning color. A little snow in the San Juans.  Winter is on the way. This is our access road off of Government Springs.  The House is thru the trees on the left. Here is the building site from the front porch looking down.  In no time the site was leveled with the aid of a survey scope, and Nick had the foundation wall laid down.  Here are the first sticks going up all within a few hours.  Gravel and the  scaffolding were needed right away to get going.  Its about noon on day one as things start to get bolted together.  Nick and Tom lead the way as Johnny and I pass up the timbers.  Here are the aces, Nick and Tom on top of the Dome.  End of day one as the finished dome is tightened down.  Time for dinner.  It looks like rain.
